One thing is for certain in Northwest Arkansas- there is an abundance of opportunities to attend fundraising events! However, I would challenge you to find an event that is more family friendly, fun and affordable than the Single Parent Scholarship Fund of NWA Golftoberfest Mini-Golf tournament which will take place at Gator Golf in Fayetteville on October 1st.
As a mini-golfer, you will be able to spend quality time on the “golf course” with your friends or family and pay it forward to single parents in NWA that are furthering their education and ending the cycle of poverty.
Golftoberfest is NWA’s ORIGINAL Mini-Golf Tournament and operates just like a normal golf tournament with a shotgun start, a hole-in-one contest with prizes and two flights starting at 10:00 am and 12:30 pm.
And while SPSF NWA is always open to larger donations, this particular event only costs $15 per person or $60 per team and comes with a fun goody bag and lunch! Sounds like a great deal to me!
One of my favorite things about Single Parent Scholarship Fund of NWA is that they incorporate family outing opportunities for their scholarship recipients into their fundraising events. Recipients can participate with their children in the event free of charge and mingle with donors, staff and the event sponsors. Not only does this give the recipients the chance to treat their kids to a fun outing, but it allows them to make new connections with individuals from the business community that could pay dividends upon their graduation.
For the second year in a row, First National Bank of NWA will be the presenting sponsor of Golftoberfest. We are excited about our partnership with SPSF NWA and look forward to this event as it not only gives back to the community in which we serve, but it’s a great chance for our team members and their families to be engaged with a non-profit and have a little fun.
Planning on attending this Saturday? Be sure to check out the Golftoberfest Snapchat filter and the fancy FNBNWA golf balls we had made just for the event! We will also be using the hashtag #Golftoberfest16 and of course #FNBNWA if you want to follow the event on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook.
The weather is shaping up for a perfect day at the course. We hope to see you there on Saturday!
